Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen (born May 2, 1892 in Kleinburg, a suburb of Breslau[1]; died April 21, 1918 near Vaux-sur-Somme, Somme department) was a German officer and fighter pilot in World War I. As a single pilot, he achieved the highest number of aerial victories in this war: 80. Richthofen became one of the world's most famous pilots, and is remembered in films, books and other media to this day. He received the popular nickname Red Baron posthumously after the war, and it goes back to his noble lineage and the red signal paint of his aircraft. Wall picture. Color print on solid wood.
